Improved summary holdings display

Previously, the Get It - Locations screen displayed only partial holdings information for a location and required you to open the location's items to see its complete holdings information. From now on, this enhancement allows you to view the complete holdings information in the Locations screen by selecting the tab View more.

QR Code added in the main menu

QR Code as a Link to Primo Pages

The QR Code link has been added to Primo VE's Main Menu to allow staff and users to share Primo VE pages quickly with other users using a QR code.

For example, this may be useful in the following cases:

  • Instructors can create a search results set of relevant materials for a course and include the page's QR code in a slide presentation.
  • Reference librarians can find materials on their workstations for users and share the queries and records quickly by allowing users to scan the QR codes with their mobile phones.
  • Libraries can market a special collection by putting the collection's QR code on their Web page, poster, and so forth.

November 30th, 2020:

On button

The APA 7th citation style has been re-enabled in Omni with some indications regarding its use.

November 12th, 2020 :

Button on/off switch to OFF

The citation style APA 7th does not work properly in Omni (it includes only the 1st author and uses the wrong initial for the given name). We don't have the option to reactivate APA 6th. For these reasons, the APA style in Omni has been deactivated until such time as Ex Libris corrects the problem. Please use another tool for your APA citations, and let us know if you have any questions.

November 8th, 2020 :

Color Contrast Improvements for Accessibility : the contrast of font, button, and background colors in Omni has been improved with a view to improving accessibility.
