What is Coding?

  • Coding, also known as computer programming, involves writing specific instructions to communicate to (a computer) what you want it to do. There are numerous of coding languages, including Python, JavaScript, C++, and HTML, among others.

  • Learning to code can be empowering, as you are in control by communicating directly to the computer what you want it to do.

  • Learning code can help you acquire skills that are increasingly desirable in our digital world. In addition, it is also useful when using Digital Humanities-related tools, as many software programs involve coding to some extent.

Variety of workshops
