Styles and examples

When preparing a presentation or a research paper, it is important to document every sources used in producing it, including videos. Each discipline uses its own referencing style. Ask your professor which style guide you should use. 

MLA style
(used in the humanities)

Director, dir. Title of film/video. Year of release. Distributor. Format.
Audiard, Jacques, dir. Rust and bone. 2012. Sony Pictures Classics. DVD.

Chicago style
(used in the humanities)

Director. Title of film/video. Format. Year of release. Distributor.
Audiard, Jacques. Rust and bone. DVD. 2012. Sony Pictures Classics. 

APA style
(used in psychology, education, engineering, business, and social sciences)

Director, D. (Director). (Year of release). Title of film/video [Motion picture]. Distributor.
Audiard, J. (Director). (2012). Rust and bone [Motion picture]. Sony Pictures Classics.
