Ottawa-Outaouais Research Data Centre (ORDC)

Important Notice

The ORDC is now open.  To ensure the health and safety of everyone, please follow the new measures in place:

  • Do not show up in the RDC  if you are sick or have symptoms.
  • Complete uOttawa's COVID-19 Daily Assessment tool prior to arriving on campus
  • Face masks are mandatory
  • Do not show up in the RDC if you didn’t book a workstation
  • All workstations are not operational to observe physical distancing. Only 5 works are operational at this time.   
  • We kindly remind users that only the RDC is open to researchers, not the entire Library. Access is restricted to RDC space (Room 322) and they are allowed to use washrooms on the 3rd floor. All other floors/spaces in the Library cannot be accessed currently.  

Welcome to the Ottawa-Outaouais RDC (ORDC) Guide

The COOL RDC is now the ORDC! Ottawa - Outaouais Research Data Centre, formerly known as COOL RDC, is a partnership between the University of Ottawa and the Université du Québec en Outaouais, with a branch RDC at Carleton University. ORDC is a bilingual centre located in the Morisset Library at the University of Ottawa                      

The ORDC provides affiliated researchers with access to secure Statistics Canada microdata. Since opening, the ORDC has been accessed by numerous researchers, and has contributed to a wide range of presentations, graduate theses, refereed articles, book chapters, and working papers.

Please note that the RDC is closed on holidays and most days on which the University of Ottawa is closed.
