The citation style and the type of document you are working with dictate how you cite it in your work. 

If you a using a citation management tool ( EndNote, Zotero, Mendeley, etc.) you can usually select the reference type that you would like to use, which will change the fields for your output style accordingly.

Refer to a guide for the particular style you are using (for example, APA, AMA, MLA, Chicago...) and follow the format for the type of document you need to cite.
