Keyword Search

Perform a keyword search from the Search ARTstor box.

• There is no need to include “and” as results will include all of your search terms. See the list of accepted wildcards.
• When reviewing results, use the filters on the left panel to further refine your search by collection type, classification, geographic location, or dates, when applicable.

You may also Search within results.

Advanced Search

Use for a more controlled search.

• Search for words or phrases in any field, Title or Creator, Location, Repository, Subject, Material, Style or Period, Work Type, Culture, Description, Technique, Number, SSID, Repository ID or SSID. Use the Boolean operator (AND/OR/NOT).
• Search by date or date range,
• Narrow down your search by geography (regions/countries), classification (object types) and/or collections.

From the Browse menu bar item, choose ARTstor collections and browse by Artstor collection, classification (object type), geography (regions/country) and teaching resources (sample topics of images found in Artstor collection, not uOttawa).

Publication-quality images made available free-of-charge for use in scholarly publications via ARTstor. ARTstor users can download IAP images by providing some basic information and agreeing to the IAP Terms & Conditions of Use. To find an image that is available through IAP, simply add IAP to your search criteria and click on the IAP icon located beneath the image thumbnail. Read more about IAP
